MILE MARKERS ON OUR JOURNEY:

Bethany’s Prayer Night // January 10
You will not want to miss this very special evening at Impact as we begin our spiritual journey together in a night of prayer and worship.

40 Days of Prayer Begins // January 11
Laying a firm foundation of prayer is “mission-critical” as we walk together in faith. Seriously – the emphasis of this journey will focus on YOU going to God and then simply obeying. The 40 Days of Prayer devotional, along with special prayer and worship gatherings, as well as small group studies, will give us a chance to draw near to Him. We will seek God as individuals, with our family, with our small groups, and on behalf of our church. What role will you play in the success of this journey? When God moves, will you be ready? Remember, He is God!

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting Begins // February 15
The spiritual discipline of fasting and prayer is often a critical part of any spiritual journey. For us, this 21 day period will culminate in a 24 hour prayer vigil leading into Commitment Weekend.

Leadership Commitment Event // February 21
The Bible gives us a great principle, as the leaders go… so go the people. Imagine the Israelites at the edge of the Jordan with no leaders ready to take that first step! Great leaders won’t ask people to do something they are not personally committed to themselves. This is key! The Leadership Commitment Event is an opportunity for our leaders to put this principle into play. In this exciting atmosphere, leaders will make their financial commitments, prior to the rest of the congregation. 1 Chronicles 29 is about the church following the faith-filled, willing response of their leaders! Followers follow better with great leadership leading by example.

Commitment Weekend // March 6/7
The Commitment Weekend will be incredible! It will likely be two of the most historic days in the life of our church. This is the time and place where the church body commits with wholehearted devotion, sacrificing in the context of worship, following the example set by their leaders. Sacrifice is best defined as “the willingness to give up something you love, for something you love even more” (God and His great work in our church). Think of the lives that will be changed in the future…because of YOU! This is also when we will give our First Fruits offering. We will celebrate what God does on this journey during a special weekend of worship coinciding with the church’s 10 year anniversary the following week on March 13/14.
